Baby Cardinal

What? Only one? I just got time to look Mrs.Cardinal’s nest this evening and was surprised to see one baby only. I really don’t know what happened to the other two eggs. The good news is this baby birdie looks well 🙂

Yes, sad to find out bout it. Hope their only baby will survive.

The lucky one too. The other two eggs/babies couldn’t make it.

Too bad about the other eggs. But the photo itself is wonderful. I’d never seen a cardinal baby so young before.

Thanks Deb. This is also my first time to see a baby cardinal. This baby seems to be fed well.

Wow, what an amazing photo! I’m glad to see one of the little eggs survived, so many of the nests near my house have eggs that never hatch so I looked it up and apparently this is quite common. You are such a great photographer – you have a great eye!

Thanks Letizia! For me, taking pictures is a lot easier than writing 🙂 Unlike you, I am worst at writing. May be Mrs. Cardinal’s tiny nest was actually built for one baby only. I was wondering if all three babies hatched out, how that tiny nest would fit them all.
